| | | Wow thank you so much for sharing. Looks like you've been a few times (winter/summer). I like the fireplace shot, with the peeling paint. Shows how only a few short years of abandonment can really take its toll on a place.

| | | Very nice, I tried to get in there last year when I was in Chicago with some other people, but we kept getting followed by a vehicle that looked like security Radioactive urine sounds awesome, did they have to bury that or did they just flush it straight into the sewer?

| | | I passed this building everyday on the train; it used to taunt me. Until the day came when I passed it and I saw workmen and bulldozers.
I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of stars makes me dream. |

| | | I was here last week. Of the three remaining structures, two are locked up tight. There is also 24/7 security, though he seemed pretty relaxed when we were there.

| | | The tall original building is now being demolished. After it goes the only building left will be a little 3-story guy. He should be staying, thanks to the significance of his architect, Walter Gropius, and the due diligence of local preservationists.

| | | as an slightly experienced urban explorer i have my doubts of where to not go exploring. Some of my urbex friends wanted to explore the demolition sight of the last building standing of CABRINI-GREEN, which i thought was a bad idea. But unfortunately time past by & all of the Cabrini Greens building have been demolished. Im just asking would that have been a good idea or no? I thought it was bad?

I can't seem to find anything more recent, but if you google "Gropius in Chicago Coalition" you will find a lot of results from throughout 2009 and early 2010, though nothing of the results. I did a building study this past semester on a house of Gropius' out in MA and a member of the coalition attended our review. He mentioned something about them saving one of the buildings, but now that I can't find anything online, I'm a bit uneasy about it all. I guess if the last big building goes bye-bye and they don't get started on the last guy, then we'll know for sure.
