| | | My first post w/pics. This is a group of houses along some farmland out in the GA country. By looking at them, I would say that they are a mix of slave/servant/depression era houses plus one larger house, which could have possibly been the land owner's.

Yeah, the siding material was on all but one of the houses. It is like a mix between thick tar paper and shingles, very odd...and old. All of the smaller houses (except the white house) were set up as duplexes but have had the dividing walls torn down to make them single-family dwellings. It was interesting to see the chimneys being back to back and sharing the same stack.
