Probably been sold, they can't however do much with the lower camp section itself as its a flood plain and the document I have says nothing can be built where the lower section of the camp is located (near the creek and mess hall).

hopefully it isnt a developer though.... i fear it is, there's a zoning sign by the main gate... condos or some stuff like that

Probably up by the Montessori school and sub division. Not sure how much houses go for in Bolton, but that amount of land seemed cheap @ $7mil (if I remember right).

the houses around here aren't incredibly cheap, but that is cheap considering the amount of land! I had heard at one point they wanted to build some huge condo-style crap up there though

| | | Posted by Bltn_Xplor I live down the street from this location, and the other day, I saw the main gate open, and a multitude of cars leaving the property. Not sure what they were all doing in there, but I saw at least 6-7 cars pull out, and more were heading down the driveway. Whatever's happening there will probably happen soon
|
If that's the case, we should probably go for one last good trip, Anyone interested contact me and we'll set up a time

Most of the land can't be developed, especially the camp part because its a flood plain.

| | | I got busted with a small meet-up there last month - sad panda. We still got in a few shots (and a Video) before we were shot down however. http://urbexbarrie...6/bolton-camp.html Suggest a small and mobile group. Park far away. Bring a Cloak of Invisibility. Throw a pail of water on the Jamaican Witch if you're cornered.

| | | Busted this morning! Walked to the bottom of the camp figured we would start there and move our way back up to the school (parked in the subdivision so our cars were nowhere in sight). Groundskeeper Willie wigged out on us and followed us all the way out riding his mower. I talked to him about wanting to take pics and he understood that and knew we were not there to cause trouble but he kept telling us over and over that we could not be there. I was not going to argue that so we left. It is too bad as there were some beautiful blue skies and clouds which complimented the shots we could have got

from my experience, the school side is MUCH easier to enter, though there is a significant police presence. most of my visits have been night one's however, so it's hard to say what it's like mid day

Yes we parked in the subdivision and walked in the Montessori entrance and down the road to the camp. Ah well - a return trip is in order.

| | | That is just bad luck we were there yesterday and didn't see anyone and I was half expecting to see some other explorers. There was some fresh cut grass on the grounds that were not there the week before, I would assume he was there to finish the job this morning.

I have been twice - once was on a Holiday monday and spent 5 hrs there without a soul in sight. The other was yesterday and was busted within 10 mins of being there. Just adding my two cents although I never answered your question
