|  | | | It was about 8 years ago, so maybe it's not there anymore. Abandoned hotel/resort on one of the Keys featuring beautiful overgrown rooftop gardens and big pink observation tower. Access was a trail through a bird sanctuary or wildlife refuge. I remember parking at the refuge and hiking out to this amazing resort, built in the 70s or 80s and left to be swallowed by the mangroves.
Any ideas? I want to go back.

| | | | Do you remember which Key it was on? I've only walked around Key West, but obviously to drive out there you have to drive through the majority of the other Keys.
Do you have any photos or a possible name or anything? I'm kind of curious about this because I won't be living down here for much longer and I'd like to do something epic before I leave for good.

It was pretty structurally unsound-- I wouldn't be surprised if some of the buildings and the tower have rotted and collapsed by now. Maybe someone in the area can help us out? I'll poke around on google maps satellite images, I guess.

It was pretty structurally unsound-- I wouldn't be surprised if some of the buildings and the tower have rotted and collapsed by now. Maybe someone in the area can help us out?
