Abandoned Junior High School devastated by Katrina

One of the thousands of chilling reminders of this city's tragedy. This was a conjoined Middle & Jr. High school. I saw two more schools within a couple of miles that were in the same condition. You forget how recent this was. Everything was very warped from the water, but still very fresh. Posters on the walls still had lesson plans, blackboards had homework assignments, etc. Very eerie. A sort of time capsule in a sense.

Please don't take this wrong way, but I don't think its really a good idea to bring women to places like this, just for safety reasons. Not saying that women can't hold their own or explore as good as men, but I think you see what I'm getting at.

careful, you are stepping into what could be a battleground. i've seen plenty of active members of UER that just happen to be women.

whatever i'm gonna go take cover now...

All I'm saying is there are some places in NOLA (and many other sites) that I personally would not take a woman, just for her own safety. Humans are animals.

Wow, sexist AND racist! I love it!

I'd be willing to bet the average female on UER is bigger (size/weight) than the average male on UER.

Sexist and racist? Give me a break. Did you even read the thread??

Direct quote from me "Not saying that women can't hold their own or explore as good as men". And where the hell did I even talk about anybody's skin color? I said humans are animals. Do I have to spell it out for you? RAPE. Anybody is capable of it and it is a reality in situations like this.

Grow up.

And I guess this post by Hooligan isn't racist at all in any sense.....

Just saying, My wife has explored more locations then most of the men on this site. She has came across bums and gang bangers in some of the worst neighborhood's Texas has to offer and has never been raped. The woman explores that I know on here seem to have the street smarts to keep them selfs out of that kind of trouble.

For what it's worth, I explored New Orleans with two young, attractive, and not manly/overweight females. No rapes.

So technically as a human being capable of RAPE maybe the boys should be watching out too.
