I guess the pulp ramp door at the top is gone now. I'd stay out of that ramp, its not the safest way to insure a long life.

So there's an easier way up, is there ?

A few pics added.

Basement was cool. Perhaps it was at 2nd level that there was a flooded passage-way, but to the north there was at least one more level for a 3rd.

Only spent a few hours inside, so there's much more I know I didn't see. For now at least, an anonymous thanks to the lead explorer, without whom I wouldn't have had this infiltration.

Oh sweet. Thanks for posting, I've always wonder if it'd be worth getting in there. (Yes I'm a little eager.)

Hopefully I can join in on a not-too-distant future trek. Would it be difficult to get in there with a backpack/tripod/etc...?

I originally didn't think the building was worth the entry/exit trouble. But after reading some old posts here and seeing it myself, I changed my mind.

My partner had a backpack, I had a workmans' type bag and a tripod. He helped much carrying the tripod, and at least once helped me with me bag, since he was more capable than I.

Our entry/exit methods were somewhat grueling to me, but the route was good for a daytime explore. There are easier entrance points, but with a higher risk of detection that would be better at night. But night has lighting issues ; flashlights in the upper levels might be noticed by security, but safety is higher with good lighting.

I still think a dinghy method of entrance is feasible, from the south-east, particularly if the water flow is lower. One might be able to pull one-self along some buoy ropes, whether in a dinghy or just wet clothes. But I'd be happy to get advice about this from someone more experienced in water entries than myself.

It was definitely a good challenge getting in, nothing impossible but not for the faint of heart eh MikeE?
The water route seems pretty straightforward, if you don't mind getting wet. The only question is whether or not for some reason known only to them they'll decide to change the water flow from the hydro plant while you're merrily making your way halfway across the river :p

Mutt, I'd say the safest way to ensure a long life is to take up a hobby like darning but where's the fun in that? Know the risks, make informed decisions, and write a will. Also, never play leapfrog with a unicorn.
