Birmingslam in review

This 4 day exploration of Birmingham was a mostly impromptu convention with visits of different explorers coinciding at the same time. DJCraig arrived on Sunday, followed by two non-UER explorers from TN and France later in the week. My recent passing of the hardest semester ever brought me out along with most of the locals explorers.

On day 1 we hit Republic Steel which was terminated by a unexpected rain storm. Highlight of the day was a Droid cellphone found tied in a plastic bag in a drawer in a desk in a building at the site.

Monday we hit TCI late in the day. DJCraig climbed the stacks.

Tuesday we hit Sloss and Arlington school, where apparently some local gangsters had stashed something of value, and came inside to retrieve it while we were there.

Wednesday was eventful. First thing in the morning, I had to extract and hide the explorers from TN and France who had ran into some police activity. We later hit Lyric, and attempted to enter Leer only to find that it was completely inaccessible. We returned to Sloss instead only to be turned away for being 'professional' photographers, even though some of us just shot there the day before. After this was a modeling shoot downtown (originally planned for Sloss, but screw them). DJCraig moved onto ATL and the other explorers from TN and France made a visit to the Pumpkin on the way back to Nashville.

And here are a few picture highlights that I am hot linking off of Facebook

So everyone share some picture highlights and fond memories.

Btw, that was just a pic from the modeling shoot that I picked out really quick, they all don't suck like that.

You forgot this list of activities.

There was examining of cinder blocks.

Demonstration of an external flash unit.

People getting in other peoples shots.

Taking pictures of large pipes?

Looking at boats.

There was more climbing.

There was photographing stupid stuff.

There were broken forklifts.

People running. Exercise?

People showing off there superb technique.

Taking pictures of weeds.

And lastly award winning photography or a photo of someone's rape van?

This guy was using the Shen-Hao PTB 45 and he is standing on the ledge of the building. So I guess he is crazy also?

He is the guy from France. His photo stream:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/mandraone/

His exposure times in the dark theater were like 16 minutes, and he would do two exposures for every shot he wanted.
