...datestamp in camera was set wrong. Dont be too critical, its a mediocre digi and TPS and tor sec was outside. Had a blast tho.

Here are some pics....I slightly and crudely retouched them...some where 12sec exposer with no tripod, so please, again, excuse my blur and poor color on a few.

but yeah, it was sketchy... school to south of malt even had seccer or cop on its roof monitoring me. Lucky I was with a trained, experienced buddy, we didn't afraid of any rickety ladders/climbing along girders, jumping 15 feet down ect, and essentially moved too erratically for them to nab us, of we broke up and evaced the area though places cars dont fit. (fields, railway tracks, though condo buildings)

good night she was.

Images removed until poster can figure out how to work the internet. -Misfit

I think your pics could really benefit from not being so gigantic.

Chris...

We all had ostriches. My dad had an ostrich farm! I remember one day someone came in and said the high altitude bombing of Kosovo had been a limited success, so we all went out and celebrated… by killing an ostrich and boiling it in kiwi fruit.

Sneaking into Malt x Flash on Camera = No?
I mean, tripod aside even little digital cameras have night shot mode somewhere.
Tripods can be cumbersome, so my usual method is the "find something flat" way, where you.. find something flat... and put your camera on it... and shoot long exposure. It's a guess and check method, but can lead to some good shots. Without lighting up the entire place like a beacon of trespassing.

You know where this is going... http://flickr.com/photos/spoonifur/

now why would I be too scared of TPS? I dont want the ticket, but damnit, I'm use to getting out of much sketchier situations.

will fix picture size tomorrow or something, I gotta fall out for work at 0430 tomorrow, so no time right now.

You trespass, they chase you, they don't catch you, they assume you're some bad kid who's doing shit in there, they assume you'll come back and die, they continue to close that place up more and more. The urban exploration community you contribute to gets sad. [Insert building name here] finally goes down.

Repeat cycle as necessary. :-p

Your pics ARE much too large, especially given the low image quality (not necessarily referring to the content!)...

But this longstanding Toronto ICON will likely soon be gone, so image up while you can...

There will always be some way in. In my 11 years of visits, there always has and always will. Access to locations changes constantly. Its a fact of UE life.

You wont win however, while kicking off a flash in there at night. THEY will be in and hunt you down! If you want longevity with this activity, you HAVE to be discreet in your endeavors....

Its really interesting to see the some of the work going on in there, btw...

If I'm not mistaken, Council did approve of some structural renovations to the silos, to the tune of around $16 million. There's still no concrete plan for reusing them at this.

Interestingly, you can now walk to Ireland Park by the water's edge in that area they used to unload ships. Most of the unloading structure has been demolished and the rest of the structure sealed with wooden boarding. There's a chain-link fence separating the temporary gravel path from the water, and I saw a silver Nissan Versa parked there oddly enough.

The size of these images exceeded my monthly bandwidth limit and cost me a $100 fine for going over it.

Point and shots aren't at all bad if you know how to use them.

Don't use flash, ever.

Is it that hard to resize images?

[*img=hhhh,vvv] [/*img]

Remove stars, replace hhhh with horizontal resolution, vvv with vertical resolution you want. Tada, instant resize for display pruposes!

Also, yeah, don't do flash in the Malt. Even if they don't catch you, it fucks over the rest of the community when they lock it down further.
