Lol..... RC Cola..... My Great Grandma always has those, I guess I naturally connect RC with being really old! Not that you're really old. Unless you are.

hahaha! (Depends on what you think 'really old' is.)I don't consider myself to be 'really old' though.

She explores the confines of her home, and that's only cuz she can't remember anything, but other than that, no. I'm sure she had her share though, if not that's 86 years wasted. MHO Love you Grandma! Lol

Our grandparents seem kinda, well, old now... but they were young in the days before TV, video games, and Internet, so they probably did plenty of explorin' back in their day. Back then, the hobos really did ride the rails from town to town -- and a kid running off to join the circus didn't trigger an Amber Alert. Their adventures likely make ours look pretty tame by comparison.

My sentiments exactly, you are a wise man Robert. You don't have any RC Cola by any chance? Lol

The Krystal Burger by my work has switched to RC Cola in the fountain, so I made sure to stop by today for my morning caffeine. They say it's a six-month experiment, so I'm doing what I can to make it pay off for them.

Also, whenever I'm at a convenience store and they have 1-liter RC, I buy it even if I'm not thirsty -- it's a duty and an honor.

Moon pies, though... I can take them or leave them.

We seem to have replaced Coke with RC in our house. I need to find the Cherry RC... stat. (And try the tap version)

I've seen Cherry RC cans at Minyard's and Kroger, so far. Only bottles I've found are at a tobacco shop in Mesquite next to the laundromat. I'm a regular there, known as "that guy who never buys any tobacco products".

Dunno of anyone but Krystal that has RC at the fountain, though it'll show up occasionally at little hole-in-the-wall C-stores. Quality there varies, though -- one place in Mesquite had ice that tasted like dirt, probably thanks to mold in the hopper. I quit going there, even my RC fetish has its limits.

And to try mightily to return the thread to its original topic, that being Houston...

One thing I look forward to when visiting Houston is finding 20oz sugar-sweetened (Dublin-style, but from the local bottler) Dr Pepper at HEB. Wish they had it in 12-packs! Haven't been to Houston since Cherry RC escaped Waco... but I started seeing it in Nacogdoches this semester, so I'm guessing it might be in Houston, too.
