Hi We are going on a Road trip to Detroit from Toronto Canada. We have a long list of Detroit locations we want to explore but if anyone has favourite locations in Detroit or along the way It would be really appreciated! I have done lots of exploring abandon sites allover Canada but not as many in America any heads up pointers if you have them.
thanks

When are you going to be there? There's going to be a Meet-up of sorts in early July.

There is a huge christian church and rectory on woodward near 6 mile. Its a relatively safe area for the 'tourist' not familiar with detroit's zones. Easy access as its in the process of being stripped, albeit slowly.

Hello
I've been in many sites around Detroit over the years including the old train depot, Book Tower and other miscellaneous sites such as an old funeral home, plating factory, school and numerous houses.
Drop me a line if you're interested in meeting up.
John.

What date in July?

I live in Minneapolis, but am leaving the country in late July for a bit.

I'm going to be there starting around the fifth, but I think quite a few people are getting there around the weekend of the 9-11th.

If I was really created in God’s image then when God was a boy he wanted to grow up to be a man, a good man, and when God was a man, a good man, he started telling the truth in order to get honest responses.

You're right. There is another church not far from St. Curvy-Catholic church...already stripped but it's attached to a school, not a rectory. Curvy is being restored.

Nice. There were three gang related deaths about a block away from the place you are talking about in the last two months. Just head's up...
