Possibly? Hopefully? Maybe?

My Guitar player has just completed his WW2 GI Uniform that he's been putting together and brought up the idea of taking pics of him in it throughout downtown... This could be interesting.

Thoughts? Ideas?

This could be awesome. Unfortunately we don't really have any bombed out ruins or old buildings...hrm.

lol. There are some old mills around that look pretty bombed out.

I'm graduating today, so no more pesky old school to get in the way of the truly important things in life.

Depending on how bold/historically accurate you are, Ft. Bragg should have some old WWII -> Korean War era barracks. The post is closed but visitors are allowed.

Edit - I don't want "bold" to be misunderstood, none of this is illegal. You can take pictures on Ft. Bragg of picture-takeable things. Not Delta Force for example. The "bold" part comes from hanging around modern day soldiers dressed as a WWII soldier.

Well, I doubt you want to be carrying a replica firearm into abandonments unless you want SWAT called faster than they seem to get called on UER members with tripods. So to that end, it would be more wise to bring something small and concealable that he could clutch that vaguely resembles a grenade. Easy to shove in a pocket or knapsack, and can still get some "crouching action shots" in the buildings.

I have airsoft guns that i've taken into abandonments before. Not the best idea, but not too bad if you know the abandonment and stay out of sight. I don't think any of them are period, though.

I debated exploring in my WWII Uniform but decided it would just be a pain in the ass.

I still want to explore dressed as Indiana Jones.
