Cornwall Road Trip

I don't know whether its the economy or what, but Cornwall has an awesome array of abandoned and neglected spots to investigate.
Didn't plan on exploring in the area, but there were a couple of places I just couldn't pass up.
There was Alpin's, right in the downtown, which had this creepy ass animal making high pitched screeching noises the whole time I was in there from some dark corner. Pretty cool, roof access was awesome for a view of the city before it woke up. Pigeons hiding in the vents almost made me crap myself when they exploded into action, but pretty quiet otherwise, which was great because from the bottle of hooch at the entrance one might worry it was a hobohome.

That was supposed to be it, but I passed by Knox-St.Paul and it begged to be explored so I checked it out, definitely worth it with some pretty interesting remains and one _awesome_ bell tower climb and an even better view of the town.
Here's some pics of the Knox-St. Paul, which seems to be slated for demolition.

More to come, just uploaded them all to photobucket after lightening in photoshop, then realized the pictures weren't what was dark - it's my monitor... too bad I didn't save the originals. I'll put up the rest after checking them out on a proper colored monitor.
Alpin's and more, next.

This was the 4th of 5 ladders, after #1 they all looked (and trembled) like they were built with the church.

balls, pics didn't post, back to the rookie forum...
Edit: posted, can't figure out the gallery tag.. oh well. Enjoy, as you can see I don't have a great camera and I'm definitely not a great photographer, but it is a pretty cool place to see and definitely worth the trip.

Pull the white rope (from the picture with the ladder) if you stop by.

All of Cornwall is a hobohome ;) Haven't had a chance to explore there but one place I've noticed twice now is the old curling rink right downtown.

Curling rink, on the list. Cornwall is like the Minto of hobohomes. Next road trip I already have more places to explore than I can fit in a day!
