wow, thank god they are safe. i think a little time in juvy is a good thing.

When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store.

So glad to hear that you found him! I hope he's able to work through whatever it is that made him think running away was the solution for everything. A good therapist will probably be able to help a lot.

He ran because basically his gf isn't allowed to have a boyfriend yet, and her parents forbid her to see him. He kept asking his mom if she'd call his gf's mom and talk to her.. Maybe about them visiting with each other only with parents around or parks or something, if she didn't trust them. His mom kept telling him she would, but would blow it off. He said he tried talking to her so many times, and she just didn't listen... so they felt the only thing to do to see each other would be to run.

He will soon be in a program that is from 8 - 5, Mon thru Friday that is basically nothing but therapy and counseling with only 2 hours of schooling combined. That way, he's on constant watch and getting the help he needs while not falling behind in school.

I'm also happy he's opened up and told WHY they ran and that he feels if he doesn't get help in seeing her somehow, that he feels like he might do it again. He doesn't WANT to do it again, but would if that's what it takes to see her.

tell your stepson I'm still grumpy at him. I expanded my walking routes looking in the forgotten places, trying to find him for ya. I'm glad he's home, and safe.

Oh, that's a tough one! Here's hoping that you, him and the other parents can get something worked out so they don't try to run away to be together again.

Thank you much. Turns out that you may have been closer to him than you thought. They were camped out next to some train tracks behind a thrift shop near Mccart in Fort Worth. He just told us this today.. we went back today to see if his stuff wss there. It was, except his 2 guitars of course, but had been rummaged through.
