some interesting finds

Okay, so I have been scouring the Rockbridge County area, around W&L Uni and VMI looking for anything... and so far, shy of a few rumors have only found one interesting building. However, I extended my searches as far out as Milboro Springs Virginia, and found an abandoned High school. Good times! Planning a trip there soon, will post pics as soon as I do. Also, found an abandoned factory in a small town called Goshen Virginia. From what I have found it used to be an old Textile/carpet factory. I have been inside, and in spite the horrible graffiti, it was a relatively interesting visit. Again, planning a return trip, for pictures sake. Apparently there is also an abandoned factory in Buena Vista as well. I have not look into this, so if anyone has any info on this, it'd be cool to know. As much as hate to admit it, looks like Historic little old Lexington, is keeping all it's historic treasure's hidden. In do time, I will uncover more, and hopefully in less time, have some pictures too.

Sounds like you've done your research, but it might be in your best interest to keep your cards close to your chest until you've played them.

Sounds good! But yeah, when I was new on the site, I scouted out this huge ex-government biomedical research facility which was a big campus with 5 or 6 big buildings. I was so excited, I posted all about it before I actually got inside. I finally got in, and it was one of the most boring places I've ever been. It had been stripped down to concrete and cinderblocks. I took like five pictures, and I don't think I ever posted them. My current policy is "pics or it didn't happen."

Hope yours turn out, though. Can't wait to see them.
