Odd place I found near Round Rock

I'm that guy, the noob that has found a place and rushes here to post about it. I've read the FAQ etc. I just want to show you guys this, maybe see if anyone knows anything about it, that's all. I'm not into urban exploration.

Another fossil/fishing/exploring trip on Saturday. Came across some weird stuff thought you all might enjoy. This was found out in some woods, rocky hillside, lots of trees etc, no obvious roads or anything nearby, the ground is rocky and hard to dig in and should be underlain by pretty solid rock. My guess is that it was supposed to be some kind of water capture system, and that there was some type of residence there to account for the springs and mini aqueduct.

Foundation of building, with a corner with a stairway going underground.

Stairway going down.

Entrance to a big room opens to the left, not under the floor of the building as would be expected.

Looking into the room from entrance

Far right corner of the room, hole in the floor goes down about 2 ft with 1 ft of water in bottom.

From the far side of the room, near the hole, looking back towards entrance.

Now pictures of things I found outside and around this place.

Once I left the building area I found other interesting structures, all dealing with water in some way. The first are springs on each side of the building.

Spring to the left.

Looking to the right of the building, and closeup of the spring to the right.

I walked across the hillside a little ways and found a check dam, which had a mini aqueduct built into a side wall, which was connected to a seep, and a hollow in a rock face. No evidence of people living in the area that I can find, so I don't know who would have built this or why.

Aqueduct view as I approached.

This is the seep in the rock, the aqueduct runs off to the left. On the right is another more decorative aqueduct that travels a couple of feet over to the grotto, which has water in it as well.

This is the grotto.

Seep closeup.

Another aqueduct view.

Someone was preparing for the government takeover! Looks very interesting.

I have seen this before.. You need the Square Crank to get to the next area but be warned, there is a giant spider and some zombies... also, watch for the boulder.

I think this would be a good place to remember in case of Government takeover. Very cool find!

It's not surprising, but it definitely worries me that we all go there immediately. But us drainers know of many many good places to hide, at least until it rains that is...

There is a spring in PA that's set up a bit like for people to go and fill up water containers. I'm sure even the water in that hole beats most tap water.

It is some of the best water around. I just got back from an overnight kayak trip filled my water bottles up from the natural springs that pop up all over here.

That is really interesting. I like places that aren't obviously easily identifiable and that's sure one.
Pretty cool!

I'm a blatant waste of time and resources.
