Yes, but whenever there's another hole in it, the boarder-uppers still arrive within a day or two; I've seen them there twice in the last week fixing the boards and locks on the building.

When the state owned the building there was security patrols every 5 - 8 minutes starting around 8pm from what i remember, earlier if it got dark out. If someone did manage to remove a board it was replaced by the next day. They may have even did repair work at night.

That's about what I've seen there on nights and weekends; a Securitas sits in front of the place. And the two boardings I know have been removed recently, were both put back in place within 18 hours. So I still consider the building impossible to enter (unless I can get a helicopter anytime soon)

Cool, its been a while since I remember seeing a set from here, I always wondered what it looked like in the day. I should have taken more photos when I went but I remember having to take a huge MANRAGE for most of the exploration and my feet were soaking wet/freezing cold.

As much sense as their response for locking the door/hatch if someone really wanted to still commit suicide there, they'd simply just need to jump out of window one floor below the top. I think the graffiti up there really pissed them off too.

Nah, you can't really experience the place until you tear your waders breaking through 2-inch thick ice in the flooded basement, and /then/ walk a mile through flooded tunnels in /January/. In related news, I walked 8 miles to school uphill both way and get off my lawn! 
Smaller building with smokestacks nearby. Of the three times I've been in, two of them have been through it. Had a really close call that resulted in me ditching equipment there a month ago, so I haven't been there in a while- cool place, though.

If that's the wire door I remember, the bottom corner was bent up, such that I've never had much trouble crawling under it. Did it look repaired?

I'll have to check that out sometime, sounds sweet! The stairs leading to the roof was locked up pretty good last I was there. Well you would need a wrench anyway to get in anyway....

Cool I'm adding that to my summer list.
I've been in long steam tunnels but never a mile long.. that's nuts. And sweet autoclaves + hydrotherapy shower + lobby + OR = a must do. Are you sure it's an asylum? It looks more like a general hospital. What do I know though

Yeah it's a psych ward. Check out the picture of the rules. haha There are tons of dorms in there with padded dividers and whatnot. haha

I went into the boiler room area, it wasn't as interesting as I was hoping. It is a fallout shelter, so I tried to find the basement, but couldn't... I'm assuming those bunkers you're talking about are the fallout shelter.

Well the hatch is locked with a masterlock. The doorway to the roof has a steel wire door locked up with metal rods and nuts. If you have a wrench set....
Anyway, I hope you guys like it. I'm going to be uploading other places in Rochester shortly.

The Terrance building itself is a fallout shelter- there are signs on each floor indicating the capacity of that floor for that purpose. As Nick said, the bunker's just a screening house.

Found about 5 or 6 "beds" randomly throughout the property. Guess the asbestos doesn't scare them away... Which if you do go, I'd suggest a mask of some sort.
