| | | Went out to explore One. It was a lot of fun. Gorgeous new 2400 RCP leads 200 m to a dual 1800 RCP drop chute falls junction, falling 3 m. Room height about 5 m.
Right 1800 RCP arm went for a ways, and was cool. Brand new. Logo from Guelph, 2007. Up a few 1m drop junctions, and some smaller rises.
Went along for about 2.5 km with some branching as large as 1200, but I stayed to the main. Some cool mineral deposits.
Around 2.4 km it drops to 1200, and then around 2.5 km drops to 1000 so I turned around to get into the right branch. Back to the main to take the right 1800 arm. This one was much older, some rebar and rust showing. Came across a large junction heavily vandalized with amateur spray paint.
Went through a rough 1000 stretch of about 30 m, and opened back to 1800. Odd. Some really cool mineral deposits here. Eventually found a neat ramp-falls junction. Left arm didn't seem too interesting, but the right sounded like a falls up ahead so I took it. A gruelling 100m in a 1000 rewarded with a crazy cone where this (flashlight shown for scale, that's my large spot at about 5 inches diameter)
Opens up to this:
An 1800 x 2400 OCP. Really cool. Went for about 300 m, then dropped to 1200 x 2000 OCP. Went for a looooooooong way maybe 600 m. Hey, that's a long way in a 1200 my back and thighs were killing me. Turned around with no end in sight for reasons I will disclose in another post soon. LOL. Total time entry to exit: 3 hrs. Having a small problem with the pics being WAY too large when you click on them. If anyone can fill me in on how to correct that, I will do so.

| | | Just curious why did you name it "One"? The pics are a bit blurry... Did you use tripod?

| | | Yeah, sorry about pics. I plan on grabbing a mini tripod for future trips. I'm usually good at holding steady, but underestimated the slow shutter speeds in low light. I called it One because it was the first large drain I found in London, the first I actually fully explored, and just an all around great drain. If someone else has already been there and named it, I'll defer to their name but I don't have full membership yet so I can't check.
