| | Urbanized Test -- Could Use Help < on 4/2/2004 2:36 AM >
| | | Ok, until Irish and I can do writeups for our outings, I've put up the other half of my site, which is dedicated just to photography. I have to admit being inspired a bit by Dobi's excellent design (and if my photos are half as good as his, I am happy). Anyway, the design uses Javascript heavily (everything is done on a single page). I've had one report of the site not working in IE6, but my testing can't reproduce the problems. So if you want, take a look, and tell me anything you think is "squirrely" about the behavior of the page. Note that the images are preloaded so it takes a few seconds (or minutes if you are on a slow connections) to load everything. When you see all the thumbnails appear, it's loaded. Thanks! | | | Everything seems to be fine, except clicking the images in the lefthand box doesn't work. Using Opera 7.23

But previous/next works fine? Edit: Guh, downloaded Opera, image displaying is totally broken, and it vertically squishes everything on the page, including images with hard-coded dimensions. WTF? Yay for Mozilla... [last edit 4/2/2004 4:00 AM by Servo - edited 1 times]

| | | Ok Capone, try it again, should work now. I had to do some workarounds for stuff Opera claims to support but doesn't, and the image thing... apparently in Opera, the border is considered part of the image's width and height -- this is totally the opposite of every other browser out there, and the HTML standard... and I had to change it so that stuff ends up moving around while the page loads. Meh, I now remember why Opera is garbage.

| | | Very nice.
The following sentence is false. The preceding sentence is true. |
