| | UE music video < on 3/2/2010 2:39 PM >
| | | Hi folks, I know this post is a little different than usual on this forum, but a friend of mine and I recently finished a music video. The video contains pictures and movies made by one of my friend's UE sessions in Belgium and France. The music is made by me. You'll find it here: http://www.youtube...atch?v=HgtX9ROZI24 Enjoy! Cheers, Arpatle

| | | I like the music, didn't watch the video. It sounds a bit like Pink Floyd; do you have a lyricist to work with?
You betcha |

| | | assuming you're using VSTi's..which one did you use for the piano sound? the style of music and video kinda conflict btw..i think the music is too "happy" for the footage being filmed. i keep thinking about skinny puppy or prometheus burning, it kinda looks like some noise-based industrial music should go along with it. the slow camera movements make it work with your music though. your music sounds good nonetheless, and wicked video footage! | | | I thought the music worked very well with the images although the images could have been of a better location.IMO.

| | | Thanks for watching and your replies. Interesting how people have different expectations when it's about music for urbex pictures. They can suggest danger and obscurity, but also peace and silence. The latter one was mainly our approach. We imagined someone who wakes up in an abandoned building after which he's experiencing a bad trip (because of drugs, alcohol, etc.) while exploring his lonely 'house'. I do know some vocalists, but my focus is on instrumental music. The piano sound comes from a digital piano, a Yamaha P-150. The other sounds come from both hardware and vst synths. I've also applied some audio processing to generate sounds.
