Don't tell the city about it til we can look at it.

It's likely known about, or was known about, and deemed too far out of the way to seal up or bother with at all..

If your going to the Archives anytime soon maybe you could look around for it, that would be a huge help. I know of someone who lived in the area since the 30s so im going to give him a call. When I get back in town I plan on going down inside, Id like to know what it is before I do.

If it's pretty far in, I imagine it would be some sort of outpost or storage area. Really hard to say unless I can actually get out there.

The size of it makes me really wonder, I wish i knew why they would build something like that there.

If it wasn't so far into the hills, I'd almost say it was a listening station, similar to the one in East Chezzetcook. But it's too far away for that. Could have also been some sort of training ground. I say contact this guy in the area ASAP, see what he says.

Haha ok will do, I mean iv gone threw it in my head and there's no reason the city would have built anything there, so it must be military.

It would have to be military, the city has no reason to build bunkers during WWI. The path that goes between the two houses, does that go right back to the bunker?

I meant maybe it was something for sewage but iv ruled that out as houses in the area use septage tanks. There are no paths to the holes directly, the path close to them is not heavily used.

What I mean is was that path once a road back into the hills?

just doing a PSA since I work in an archives.. Dalhousie University has a lot of shit too, so come visit us, people never think to check us out.. sadly, we're under staffed so a lot of the finding aids aren't on our website, but it lists what collections we have.. any brewers out there? we have all the original recipes for Oland and Keiths... ;)
