On London's busy Euston Road, lie 3 of London's main Rail Stations. Euston, St. Pancras and King's Cross. St. Pancras International recently became the main Eurostar Terminus station for trains under the English Channel to France, Belgium and beyond. In the expensive makeover, the mothballed hotel at the front of St. Pancras station was bought and is currently being converted into flats and a 5* Marriott Hotel.

It was designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott, and completed in 1876. It features 60 million bricks and 9,000 tons of ironwork. It ceased being a hotel in 1935, being too expensive to maintain. It became railway offices until the 1980s, when it failed it's fire certificate and laid bare until now, with the exception of a Spice Girls video.

I went in recently with Speed, and was keen to see some of the original decor preserved there. I wasn't disappointed, although a lot of the place is covered in scaffold and boarding while renovation takes place

Wow. I had coffee where the Back Street Boys filmed a music video too. Perhaps we can start a new thread? 'Inane Music Video Locations'?

Great location regardless!
