A collection of shittay pics taken thanksgiving (wait... maybe christmas day) 2009. I was talking about this place with my cousin when I found out he had not only been there, he had been inside. I made him take me there with my little sister. They were on tight schedules so I did not have much time to take pics. I plan on returning and hopefully going in. It does have a security system.. something I always stay away from. I'm not sure I can resist this one. One deciding factor is the time left on this place. It is falling apart with no attempt to resolve. UT took the donated funds to repair it and spent them on the presidents house. So, fuck UT. It is so beautiful. It is on 24 acres of land. It has its own one horse stable. It makes me so angry that the money meant to save this treasure went else where. You can bet UT will find more ways to destroy this property. Anyway... I hope to have better more in focus (more in general) photos to come. Sorry about the detail on this location. It is very very well known. I wanted to add the background.

| | | | The Metropulse, a local Knoxville newspaper, had an article about this place this week. You can look it up on their webpage if you're interested. The short version is that UTK has wasted a ton of potential by not being able to "find a use" for it and a local non-profit is offering money and time to help fix it up.

What type of security measures are in place? Asside from boarded up windows/doors, it doesn't look all that daunting.
