You have just admitted that there's other explorers in North Bay. Problem solved. I know this sounds like a tough answer, but it's better than what most of UER will tell you. You just need to ... take every opportunity you have to explore: you have far fewer chances to explore, much less of an area to choose from, and I know from experience that UER has no sympathy for those who try to plead unlicenced. Unfortunately, they don't really respect or include people until they have shown the results of some successful explorations. So it's kind of a catch-22, all you can do is keep trying and hoping for the best.

respectfully, i am very curious victoria how you managed to obtain FM status in 3 months based on your comments here... you don't seem much of a go-getter unless youve got some wicked awesome photo sets i havent seen yet... in the time ive spent here before joining ive seen some truly awe-inpiring photo sets from people who have been here for a year or more who still havent gotten FM status... what gives?

It's all favoritism. If someone in your area really likes you, and happens to be a moderator, you can get it in theoretically as little as 12 days. Others have had full membership in the past, and lost it for various reasons, but continue to be more or less outstanding explorers. (I myself needed 14 months to get full membership, and almost lost it 7 months later).

I think there should be some form of Level 2 1/2 membership, or group membership, just my opinion. Either a few locations (maybe one in each city) are set aside as beginner places, or each new member gets to see the one full-members-only DB location nearest in location to them. Or have a section like the one for events, for exploring groups, something of a reverse event board. That way people could just make simple posts like "Sudbury/North Bay/Gravenhurst: exploring in Bracebridge starting 3:30 tomorrow, room for 3 more" or "North Bay/Mattawa: anyone with a car interested in checking out ruins of Kiosk Village". That way it might be more possible to match up explorers and rides, and someone interested in going out can look on the list for anything in their area. (This isn't the event function as these are smaller than meetups, more of matchups, and don't necessarily need to belong to a specific time and place)
