Yes, it does seem to be a star for telling Chikote's user names apart from the rest of ours. Today's events have proved this fact.

| | | The annoying star is there as a form of punishment that isn't banning. Banning is often ineffective in cases like Chikote's because they'll just get a new account and continue being an idiot. Since the forum's a social community, this kind of branding is a way to encourage someone to either change thier ways or get the hell out. I saw some posts about the annoying star being a "star of david" or somesuch, but comparaisons like that are a little overdramatic. You have to be a really really annoying idiot to get that star. Everyone who currently has it have had multiple user complaints filed against them with the admins. That star is earned, not forced on undeserving people. As to how it actually came into existence... I'm not 100% sure, but I think it was pretty much Av's idea. I agree with it though.

| | | Well Chikote as I knew him was very nice to me. I also had no problem with him. However I made the comment about the star of david. At first I thought it was uncalled for. I do find that its kind of humilating. I also want to know what constitutes as annoying. As for Chikote intelex mousey I understand now. It may have been a little of a jump and I didnt know what this thing was for. However el gordo has never been a problem at all to me and I dont see why he has a star.
