A tuque when it's cold, a helmet when on a bicycle and nothing when it's warm.

I wear a toque with no logo or label on it so I'm not easily identifiable. It's tan colored. You'd like it.

I wear something like this when it is cold.

You can tuck the facemask part up into the hat to make a normal beanie. You can just pull the facemask down to have the beanie + a neck warmer. Or you can wear the facemask.

I love it.

Ball hat in mild months.
Standard black toque in colder months.
Standard black balaclava in extreme cold.

Picked up a discarded hardhat on each of my trips to McNabs Island. Maybe I'll get to use it in a cave come spring.

When I do Urbex, I do indeed wear a helmet if it is an overhead environment.

You can get descent helmets for climbing and mountaineering which are suitable for Urbex.

ROFL at this one...wearing a helmet but no shoes in a wet, murky abandonment? Post this in the "your perfect boots" too and see what people there think...
