I dunno 'bout the rest of these doubters, but I hear that HDR solves all possible photographic problems and makes you a sandwich. It's a silver bullet, wrapped in a a real substitute for skill, wrapped in bacon. There's no such thing as bad HDR- or so I'm told.

Really, I'm in about the same spot as urbexkeith - I'm just playing around a bit with Photomatix's magic buttons. I've heard warnings about the evils of overdone HDR (or, according to some, any HDR at all). From what I've seen, it looks like it could be a useful tool if done in moderation. Guess I'll have to learn from experience.

anyone have photomatix for free for the MAC ?

Be careful, not safe.

"Urbex- so much fun that it should be illegal."
