"What did you expect? Thirty floors of goodness?!"

On Friday, Dedzone and TrailHunter came down to Long Island. I picked them up at the ferry at about 7:15AM. Then met up with Aerofennec. We were off to one of three asylums for the day.

Now, The first Asylum of the day is still partially active. The Power Plant was closed in 2003, Was being renovated into an art museum or something, Fell through. Or didnt. No idea. The owner is consistent with starting work on it and stopping anytime. The main building on Campus were closed early 2000's(I think) In 2003 as well, 13 ward buildings were knocked down. But due to the owner getting caught doing shitty abatement, He was fined alot of money and now the rubble of the buildings still sit there to this day.

Interesting story: When my mother was doing her nursing course in college. Her teacher made her class go to the asylum and interview some patients. They brought the students into the dayroom,Shut the door and locked them in. During the interviews, One of my mothers classmates was attacked by a patient. Ironically, This building is now abandoned and featured in this set.

After that, We decided..Place sucked. Trashed,Empty and boring. None of us had been there in atleast a year, Some of us had never been there. And over the years it just built up this hype to me that "Maybe I could get a decent set out of it, I wanna try" So we did. Got there and realized that it was going to be fucking hard..

So we left for another local asylum, Most of it is now a college, Which is slowly closing down itself. But security was for once doing there job patrolling the shit out of the place, And It being sealed tight. Prevented us from doing that. SOO...

With one left in the area to really see, We headed to the biggest whore on this island..
Attempted to do the Violent ward, But ended up getting stalked by Construction surveyors and the fact that the entrance was about a fifteen foot drop..
So we moved onto a Staff house for about 15 minutes, Moved onto Vets group. While walking to it, This conversation ensued..

Dedzone:What's that building over there?
Aero:That's the old isolation ward, It's boring. Just a long hallway with about 20 rooms.
Dedzone:Well, What's you expect? Thirty floors of goodness?!"

It was quite amusing. Anywho, After squeezing in through a tiny tiny window, We were in and shooting with what little light we had left..

Since it was dark, I had things to do so I left Dedzone,TrailHunter and Aerofennec to do there own thing.

Nice set, that place looks huge. I love peeling paint, looks to be a lot of that in there.

13 blew me away. The contrast of the paint colors is nice and you can't tell it's peeling paint until you look at the hallway wall on the right. I thought it was a paint design for a moment.
