|  | | | Just wanted to share an update on the "Rattlesnake Ranch", listed in the UER database in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Turns out this house was built in the early part of the 20th century by a man named George D. Keith, who was the brother to and co-founder of the Ben E. Keith Food Service Company in Fort Worth. There's quite an interesting and sad history, including murder, that goes with this ranch house.

I remembered reading your post about hearing something down there and I cautiously looked inside. It didn't have as much water as your picture but there wasn't anything living in there. Must have gone south for the winter.

Could've been a rattlesnake. They are adept swimmer and will take to water to catch prey, mates, or escape a predator or harassment.
