Okay guys, I know many of you think that Bristol company is crap, but that's not gonna stop me from shooting. In fact, it made me shoot more. SO I have a few shots for you to evaluate for my upcoming set.

Be blunt if you have to... I'll show them in sets.

1.

2.

3.

4.

5.

7. This was tough for me, I've never wanted to used a shot with flash more than one naturally lit. Until I shot these leaves.

11.Another comparison with Flash and without.

Or

Good stuff Grt1 ,, I'm no Ansel Adams but here's my take.

1 or 2 = Two is the better shot, mostly cuz the stump is not dead in the middle.
3 or 4 = Four is the winner. The glass looks wonderful, and do you see the glass profile of the dog with his ears up?

5 or 6 = 6 is much better now.....thanx.

7 or 8 = Duh, Seven....color pictures are about color.

9 or 10 and ll or 12..can't pick.

Pano's are wild, look as wide as the sight actually looked!

Your photography improves with every set. Keep posting.

Thanks man!
I know about the stump, but #2 was too over exposed for my taste.
I don't see the dog in #4, but I'll take your word on it.
Once again, Sorry about #6.
I had feeling you were gonna say #7, hence my confusion. #7 was the one with the flash.
I'm gonna combine 9-10 into a wide angle, but I think I'll go with #12 in the set.

I'm finally starting to get the hang of cylindrical mapping in photoshop, so I'm getting the pano's I always wanted now.
And about 15 and 16, which do you prefer? The darker one with the more foreboding atmosphere, or the brighter version that reveals more detail?

16, more picture, less border, just as foreboding. But not as forboding as the fire-escape with no steps. Next time I go too!

my only advice here is to NEVER EVER use a flash in an abandoned building.

there is absolutely no need to - ever.

buildings don't move, use your tripod and be patient and your results will be much better

Duly noted, starting to use my manual more, but I was exploring as a guide, didn't want to stay in an area too long. Sun sets early in November. The flash really helped those leaves though, they were all bleached in the non flash shot.

lol. Really, that fire escape is a cake-walk.

Anytime you wanna set up another meet, I'll be there. The route to the top might only be viable for another year, at most. Then we might have to take the ladder 4 stories to the roof.

not really the white balance is completely unnatural.

i'm not talking hour long exposures but if you're going to take the time to take photos and have people critique them 30 seconds over 1 second shouldn't matter
