| | | I checked this place out earlier this week. I had seen it on AbandonedOk and wanted to check it out for some time. It was a school built in 1922 and it burned down in 1925 allegedly killing two children that were trapped in the basement. They rebuilt the school in 1926 and it was in operation until 1958 when the oil boom in that area died down. When they rebuilt it they added some classrooms and hired 8 more staff. It's said that the school is still haunted. There are some strange happenings there. This school is right off a main street but has a fence around it so I had to find an entry point in the back and wander through some very thick woods. At times it was like exploring the amazon. There isn't anything left but the walls and some cement structures. The place has been heavily vandalized by the local teens and there are tons of beer bottles and trash but it's still a pretty neat place. It definitely gives you that creepy feeling. These pics are also taken with my cell phone because I don't have a camera.

| | | I dont suppose you checked out the old house in the woods a few hundred feet north of the school? Oh, and that boiler room is where the kids supposedly died when the place caught fire. That basement kind of gave me the heebie jeebies, and I liked it!

| | | No I wanted to check out the house but it was getting dark. I will go back sometime soon to get another look.
