Hello everyone, I am new here however not new to exploration. Please be patient as this is my first post with pics. Kingsbury ordinance plant produced shells, cartridges and mortar rounds for WWII and the Korean conflict. The plant consisted of several ammunition factories and storage bunkers occupying over 10,000 acres. Kingsbury opened in 1941 but began closing in 1945, however re-opened again in 1951 for the Korean War.

The pictures of the bunkers with the tar paper roofs are occupied as storage for factories, one is used as a pyrotechnics storage bunker. The large building with the stairway is 4 stories tall. The massive cannon looking thing was to test TNT or Mortar rounds I believe. Does anyone else have any info on this pic? It stand around 50 feet tall and built into a hill packed with sand. All other buildings are miscellaneous and empty.

"XXX" indicates that there may be black powder residue in the buildings. It indicates that it is not a clean room.

Unless it's gone, there used to be a fire escape slide at the remains of the main building, that & tons of shredded tires. There was a website that I think is gone now, that had some old photos of the place when it was in operation.

9/11/01 all gave some, some gave all. 343.

Mmmmmm, filled with bunkery goodness!

XXX means rated for mature ordinances only, be careful what you step on.

Nice. The gun thing is atop the firing range backstop. I believe it launched something out into the range to be fired at....moving target. That range was used up into the 2000's I believe.
