| | | I like the look of this tower but the color right now sucks. My black and white usually are not too good but I want a critique on this one It is a control tower near an old train station

| | | It's nicely framed imo, maybe a little straightening and a bit of sharpening are in order. The contrasting isn't bad for B&W, I usually like my B&W to be really contrasting though, but it all boils down to personal taste and art style. It's an overall nice shot though I think.

| | | I agree that straightening is in order, although the shot is a little too wide, I think (too much sky, road). It's also a little underexposed. A lower angle would also compliment the leaves and make the subject more interesting.

| | | Agreed on cropping it a bit closer, maybe in such a way that the structure isn't so dead center. It actually looks pretty straight to me. It's also a bit soft, F/8 would probably have produced a sharper image. Maybe just a tad underexposed.

| | | All good advice.. From owning a Rebel XTi, I will also note that in the monochrome setting of the camera, the "correct" exposure will always be overexposed. I always shot 1 or 2 stops lower than recommended by the camera. Upon buying the 1D Mark II, I don't have this problem anymore. =P

| | | The Conversion was done in post, and I didn't sharpen for some unforeseen reason, I will have plenty of time to go back and shoot there again, As far as f/22 I figured I'd give it a shot. I usually use f/9. Thanks for all the comments and advice,

| | | I agree with most thing said above, the building seems to lean to the right imo. The only things I'd like to add are that the leaves in front of the building are far too bright, really distracting. Next: there's some kind of fog or blur in front of the windows, could be something on your lens, or maybe a lens flare... You need to clean your lens, check the dots in the sky. Overall a very good image. Grtz
