| | Abandoned hotel on Mobile Bay < on 10/22/2009 11:31 PM >
| | | Was down in Alabama for work recently, sharing a rental van, so I couldn't stop and check it out, but there is a fairly large abandoned hotel that's very conspicuous from I-10 just about a mile east of the USS Alabama. Seems like the view from the roof (6 or 7 stories) would be phenomenal. Anyone been there and have pics? It's not on the public version of the LDB, might be on the real one for all I know.

When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store. |

Huh, must be the same one if it's near the USS Alabama and right off 10. Was definitely there at at the end of August, but from the highway you could see straight through it, so it may be totally gutted now. Still cool to see some pics though, thanks!

| | | That hotel is, in fact, still standing...the first floor appears to be completely gutted. A buddy of mine and I were contemplating a trip there earlier today. We are both UE noobs, but we are working on a pretty good plan. [last edit 10/31/2009 3:21 AM by cspunk - edited 1 times]

| | | I used to live outside of Mobile. That hotel is the Ramada Inn and it was flooded during Hurricane Ivan. Hope that helps!
