side note: it's funny that someone named 'videonerd' and myself (a videonerd by trade) are both still watching over-the-air television.

Because we know the best quality HD is OTA. Rogers and Bell recompress the channels to fit their plan and mess with the audio. Only OTA is the way the broadcaster meant it to be!

Just discovering this thread now. The promo looks interesting and it sounds like you guys did a good job. I know it's been asked before, but is there anyway to see any of these episodes online through bravo's website or anything? Or could you guys record them and torrent them or something? Congrats!

They are on watch.bravo.ca , but they are geoblocked to non-Canadian IP addresses. There isn't a source for watching them in the US that I know of yet. We won't be torrenting them, since that lowers the chance that we'll get to make more.

Do you know what their intent is to keep it blocked to Canadians?

I guess it's time to fire up the ole' proxy machine...

It has something to do with the advertising. They don't want to show it to a larger segment of people without getting more $$. I'm sure it will be available at some point to everyone.

What Air33 said is basically correct. Bravo is also only licensed to broadcast the show in Canada (just as other networks are only licensed to broadcast it in other specific countries). It is the same reason Hulu isn't normally available to IP addresses outside of the USA (unless a proxy is used).

Edit: I should that I assume the above in the case... I have no idea what the contractual relationship is and all that jazz.

I lol'd when Steve pulls his camera bag up with a rope and you see his hat tied on, trailing behind.

Mental note: buy a cool hat.

As far as I'm concerned, Chateau Miranda had the highest, and lowest, points of the entire trip. Standing atop the clock tower looking at the hills, valleys and other chateaus in the distance was such a highlight, however seeing the horrendous condition of the building was a great disappointment. I think all of my shots from the building are taken in the one grand room, the staircase, the clock tower and from the grounds behind the chateau. They were the only places worth shooting, and the only places where there was a floor to stand on.

What was the battery hooked up to btw? The shot when looking at the other castle was beautiful. Looked like an amazing day to be there!
