A way in...

Not sure if anyone has been in the Sears crosstown lately, but its pretty freakin closed up. I would love to know if anyone knows a good way in there or the sterrick building. Been looking around both and hated leaving without being able to get in. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hey everybody! This cop wants to know how to get in the Sterrick building? Can anybody give him a hand real quick? All he needs is your name, address, and social security number!

On a serious note... You got past the 1 week post block, which shows more patience than most, but you should have maybe read a post or two?

We don't give out entry details around here. It's a rule we only break if we like you, which means we have to get to know you.

Here's your homework for the night.

Haha, what you're saying makes perfect sense. I guess after going and walking all around the thing, I'm just really eager to get in. I've read around and after seeing some of the pictures from inside crosstown, the place just looks amazing, seeing all that stuff just still sitting there. Crazy cool. I even had some friends get in but they just went straight to the top, and that was a while back. I'll definitely read the rookie stuff, and sorry about just straight asking, like I said just ready to take it all in. Thanks again for the advice, and I look forward to actually learning and helping out the site. And if anyone in memphis ever gets together and wants to bring to newbs, definitely hit me up.

Not a problem. Sorry to get snarky on you, but we actually do get trolled by security and property owners now and again.

Posting stuff from places you've already explored is a really good way to get known on the forums, which in turn, is a good way to get other explorers in your area to let you in on the action.

I can imagine a security guard or caretaker/property owner trolling here, but honestly, I can't imagine a real cop ever caring that much or having that much spare time to bother. Just my $.02.

I agree. An actual vested officer of the law wouldn't be on here unless he/she was actively investigating a case involving a member. Which happened. Just a few months ago.

I agree in the case of an active investigation, but I just don't think they would troll, there's really not a lot of glamour or fun trolling for hours to get a.....trespasser...at best.

I'm assuming it was for more than simply trespass? Government property or something?

I keep hearing about that... Im not worried. I never do anything of interest. Not anything cops would want to invest there time in. It just sounds so weird. Most people on here seem to be harmlessly documenting places not doing anything more. It just does not make sense for them to be hunted down for that. Was he/she kicked off the site?
