I agree with the duck here. Whether you're painting art or not, is irrelevant. Whether you're a "real" graffiti artist rather than a vandal is irrelevant.There is no good reason, not one, that it has to be done on someone else's property.

You think the ugly concrete wall would be prettier with a mural? No excuse. You want fame or people to see that you've been there? No excuse. The building is probably going to be torn down some day anyway? No excuse. You don't have the money, you need to express yourself, the environment made you do it... No excuse.

It needs to be done somewhere else. It really is that simple.
