HI everyone!

I am currently in Northern Ontario. I have come across a few locations in the forest that a photographer might want to take pictures of. I prefer to explore rather than take pictures. I work as a forest firefighter and when we get dispatched to the middle of nowhere in our helicopter, we find the most amazing places. A lot of places can be seen from the helicopter and some we find by randomly driving down grown in roads that people dont use anymore. I have looked up my locations on UER and on Ontario abandoned places and the locations i have discovered are not in either database. if you are interested in taking some pictures please contact me.

Hello,

The only time I was in Chapleau (or the area) was to look at some old ghost towns. I was contemplating a trip up that way this summer but couldn't justify it because research didn't indicate there was all that much to see along the way that hadn't been there before.

This is where it's handy to know people from the area who are familiar with the backroads and the hidden treasures you would otherwise have to devote many days to even looking for. Chapleau being a bit of a drive from Sudbury, it's probably safe to say that you have the area to yourself.

In other words, I'm not too sure that there are many people from here up in the area. That could be a good thing though - you have it all to yourself

I'd look forward to whatever you can find out that way and maybe it would encourage more people to head up that way in pursuit of photos. I know there are a few abandoned motels in Wawa, but last I'd looked into it they were sealed up.

P.S. I'm not trying to boast about Sudbury when I mention it's distance to Chapleau. I say it because it's probably the last city/town where you'll find an online population of explorers as you head north.

My bff and I are planning a roadtrip next summer heading for Thunder Bay, both for exploration purposes and she wants to go see some family there. It wouldn't be soon, but we'd be game to have a tour guide for some of it.

Could you and your helicopter come to Toronto to pick me up?
