Laurel Hill Cemetary

Earlier in the week last week I took a trip up to Laurel Hill Cemetary in Philadelphia. It was the first time I was ever there although I've driven by it hundreds of time. I only walked the west side of the cemetary and while driving home down Lehigh Ave (around 33rd st.) I noticed another overgrown cemetary. I don't know if that is part of Laurel hill or not. I just look and its Mt. Vernon Cemetary. Anyway, here are a few pics from Laurel Hill.1.

Great set, and nice UFO in #8!

Softly creeping through
Empty hallways decades old,
glimpsing history.

I think the Adrian Balboa marker is just a gag based on the character in the movie.

My Drawing II course met here a couple times, good times.
If you're interested they have a "Gravedigger's Ball" coming up. http://www.thelaurelhillcemetery.org/

I see the banner for the ball every time I ride my bike by the cemetery. I keep telling myself I'm gonna sign up, but I still haven't.

The blood I bleed must be black indeed.

Rana X, I used to live in southwest philly but haven't been to Mt. Moriah in a LONG time. Phillyskyline.com has a pretty good set of pics from Mt. Moriah. I did check out the information on the Gravediggers Ball but at $150 a person I'll be skipping that.

Best cemetery ever.
