Fun for the whole family!

So I came across this place in RI while trying without success to find a certain school for the feeble minded. No luck, mostly because I have no sense of direction. (If anyone knows GOOD directions to this place, I'd love to know). Anyways, we still had fun. Bumper cars!

Lots more bumper car pics on my flickr:

Avoided the poison ivy, but got caught on a lot of thorns. I don't think there was any tick action.

Also, I know I was way off. I'm telling you, I'm the worst at directions. Plus the directions I had were just...wrong. Sad, but I liked this place.

I dunno if anyone has explored there lately, but the school has some weird security mojo going on lately. It tends to be in a state of flux, but when I drove there last weekend, they had huge No Trespassing signs up near the road (they're really serious!) and I was driving the grounds for all of two minutes before a state trooper came flying around a corner and chased me out.

Maybe I was just unlucky that day, but the place totally isn't worth a bust.

Also, thought the place with the bumper cars got demo'd. I mean, looks like its in shit shape, but I thought nothing was left.

Almost nothing left. And yeah I heard that about the school too. Ghost hunters or some assholes are ruining it. Lots of cops and, according to some kids at dunkin' donuts, "hooligans with baseball bats"

who knows, though. I didn't get anywhere near the place.

I hope those bumper cars are not destroyed too.. I wouldnt mind having one. ;)

(not actually talking about stealing. My grandparents used to salvage from places being torn down.)

Supposedly there was a gang of Asian teens robbing explorers and others entering the buildings with bats and knives. The first two times I went we waved to the security, and the last time we were promptly shooed off.

Seriously? I've been there a few times and have never had any issues with security, axe-wielding Asians, or even other explorers. But I agree that the location in question isn't worth getting arrested for; there's a lot to see on campus, but it's one of those quality vs. quantity deals. Everything is falling apart, it's ugly, and it's really not worth the drive from Boston.
