Thats a pretty elitist thing to say. I DONT explore unless I have beverages with me and some marijuana cigarettes. Thats the way I enjoy to explore. Everybody explores in their own way. To tell me just because I enjoy some drinks while exploring, that I shouldnt be allowed here is just not cool. Its my life, not yours.

I'm simply saying that exploring whilst impaired in any way, even if your sleep-deprived, is not a wise thing to be doing. You need all your senses and wits about you when you explore. It's elitist of you to assume your desire to be impaired is a responsible behavior.

Urban Exploring isnt exactly responsible behavior in the first place. Think about it. Just because Im a little more irresponsible then you are (in your eyes) doesnt give you the right to suggest people that enjoy exploring in my manor shouldnt be allowed here.

You're right, UE is illegal much of the time (trespassing). However, encouraging people to "toke up and go 'sploring" simply adds to the "bad idea" factor. You may disagree, and I'm OK with that, but I'm right.

I dont care that you think its a bad idea, its your opinion. I dont, ive been exploring and drinking for over 10 years. Wouldnt change any of the great memories I have. But honestly my real beef is you need to take back that statement that people who have some drinks while exploring shouldnt be allowed here statement, that was really uncalled for.

You're wrong, wrong, wrong.

Broken glass, rotting floors, unstable ladders, asbestos, rusty nails protruding from wood, and uncapped wells all make for safe exploring while you're falling down drunk and stoned out of your tree.

Err wait... maybe you have a point.

We'll have to agree to disagree. I don't like the idea of impaired explorers misrepresenting UER or the hobby itself. I wouldn't explore with anyone that made exploring while impaired a priority any more than I'd condone drinking and driving or myself being a passenger of a drunk driver. It's just not responsible - it's a bad idea.

I wouldnt ue falling down drunk, i havent been falling down drunk since I was highschool. But I do like to bring a few beers with me. If that is so terrible then may god have mercy on my soul. I also dont UE in overly hazardous locations, I mostly stick to railway lands around Toronto, the TTC subway tunnels and new well lit high rise building developments.

So since I like to bring a few beers with me while I explore, you think I should be banished from the site? Let me get this right. Because thats what youre saying.

I appreciate your honesty about the drinking/toking while exploring. Honestly, I'd rather not have you representing UER and the hobby. But, hey, go forth and explore the train yards. Have fun and feel great while you do it.

Can please take your argument to pm?

Anyway...

Condolences to Leah and everyone close to her. Regardless of motive and state of mind at the time, this is still a tragic time.

Having a few beers while tubing in an abandoned water park... I think statistically the increase in risk was indistinguishable from zero.

Sure if I were drunk to the point I'm falling over, I'm pretty sure anything I would do would be risky.... For example the scar on my forehead, the result of trying to go to the bathroom while completely hammered (in my own house, not abandoned).

Well id rather not have a bleeding heart, self righteous, wuss like you representing UER either. Urban exploring is about being free enjoying what youre doing. Dont go pushing your lame values on me. Until people who like to have alcoholic beverages while ue'n are officially banned from this site by the owners of it, youve got no business trying to play forum rule maker.

And once again, the Ontario forum is the center of drama on UER. What a surprise.
