Glad you guys enjoyed it! I told ya about the spiders, those things were monstrous!

My guess about the bathroom is that it used to be in the same room as the stairs leading up to the attic, not sure if you noticed or not but there was some demo going on in there.

what did you think of the attic? Weird shit with all those purple paper things mixed in with feathers.

The coolest thing about this location is there is sooooo much to see! Glad we got to see it before the vandals locate it. I did some research on the owner, and what I found out was that he had passed away in June of 2008. So if he lived there right up until he passed, this house has only been abandon for a little over a year.

I'm thinking it's been longer than that... just looking at the curtains, and other artifact type things in there I didn't see anything, even considering that there was a phone and cable, I saw nothing that would make me think someone lived there in 08. Maybe the old boy went to a nursing home or moved in with family for a while before passing away. I just can't picture it being occupied less than two years ago...

No joke about those spiders, in fact I have had more webs in my face today then in my whole life !!

The servants area where all that pom pom stuff and feathers are we figured was a feather mattress or something that exploded. LOL Justakitty found irony in the old Kentucky Fried Chicken barrell amongst the feathers.

That's police tape too, which makes me wonder what the heck !!

Way cool place for sure. Only abandoned for a little over a year...wow I would have guessed alot longer based on sketchy floors and cracks everywhere.

If it's the place I'm thinking of, it's actively farmed and maintained by a neighbor just to the east. The farmhouse has been inactive for at least five years because when I dropped by in 2005 it was very much in disrepair and the caretaker dude kicked me off the property.

I wouldn't guess the barn is active anymore either. The walls are giving out and the floors are starting to rot... and fighting through the nest like warren of spider webs sure seemed like no one had been there in awhile...

Ha, it drew you in like the masses huh? (It would have been so stately in its day)

Oh, all this talk of huge larger then life spiders and I forget to put up a pic of one of the creepers. Trust when we say the spiders here are MONSTROUS.

Almost walked face first into this one! I shall call him 'Boris'

Boris is about an inch from attacking my head in that pic leaf!!! LOL That spider had little spikey things all over his legs and body, it's relatively clear in this one... he's just gross...

In reference to the Police tape surrounding the well area, does anyone have any idea what exactly happened there? I supose it could just be a joke of some sort and if so somebody got ahold of legit police tape.

Fedge, that place was way more active when you were there. We were wading through grass up past our knees to get to that same barn, and there's some piece of equipment in the No Hunting barn that isn't there now. Probably lots of differences from those pics to the ones we took.

As for the crime scene tape... I don't know, it's pretty tough to get your hands on the real stuff with the crime stoppers number and all. When I talk to my dad later I'll see if he knows anything. I'm not sure if he's nosy or just observant but he tends to have a little knowledge on everything in the area!! LOL

It never ceases to amaze me to see the walls crumbling, the floors fading, but the solid cherry wood doors and baseboards are in pristine condition!
And don't worry about the spiders, the worst that could happen would be being bit by one, getting spider-like abilities, and becoming a masked superhero.
It's the raccoons you've got to keep your eyes on, one second they're giving you the cute "who me?" look, next thing you know you turn around and they've surrounded you! ...sorry, flashback from my childhood...
