Did anyone get a chance to see... (Waterloo Area)

...two awesome properties in the Northwest corner of Waterloo, close to Erbsville before the city purchased the land?
The first property I'm talking about had a small cottage-like house that was verrry basic, and falling apart at the time I saw explored it (probably 2 or 3 years after the owner passed away) There was a pile of handwritten letters on the floor explaining that after his death, the owner did not want his property sold to the city for development, rather he wanted it as parkland. The nearby, newly-built, cookie-cutter subdivision already bordered his property line, and at the time I visited, people already walked their dogs and rode dirtbikes and whatnot around his large property. The coolest part BY FAR of his property was a hidden away BOMB SHELTER!! It was build into a hill and had air vent tubes to the surface with filters in them and a huge heavy door. 2 or 3 rooms (it was dark, I was scared!) where it looked like someone had built a fire in the middle of the floor. Anyways, very cool, and now it is gone, the bunker's been demolished and the house is a pile of woodchips, it looks like they just threw the whole thing through a woodchipper. I wish I had my camera with me that day.

The second place is around the corner and down the street. A huuuge property with really nice, grassy rolling hills and an old silo. A quaint little simple house, very outdated and in need of repair. The best thing that used to be here was a biiig old barn. It had all sorts of antique furniture, from chairs and tables, right down to big old glass jugs, old, old iron and leather horse bits and bridles and whatever other riding gear, old tobacco cans, things from a huge variety of decades, tobacco tins, newspapers, everything! Again, no camera, and this was a few years ago. Driving by this property recently, it looks as if the city has purchsed this land too, and new subdivisions are right up to the border of it as far as I can tell too.

These 2 places would have been an urban explorer's dream and I've been thinking about them ever since I stumbled on this website!
Did anyone manage to snap a few pictures or catch a glimpse of these before they were detroyed?

I am rather shocked too I have no idea where or what these are. I spend countless hours a week driving through the city as well as backroads....

Where they are building new subdivisions and stretching the city limits is a good place to look... the city buys out people's old family properties and demos them to build a cookie cutter neighbourhood. Lots in Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge! Actually another abandoned house just outside of Cambridge was just demoed a few weeks ago too..
