| | Burnt down bridge < on 8/26/2009 1:12 AM >
| | | My friends and I wanted to go check out a bridge that has long been abandoned...so we did! This is near Back Bay in Portland Maine. Some dickhead burnt the thing down a few years ago, so it's mostly just used by hippies to go fishing or a spot for homeless people to pee/sleep. Either way it's pretty cool. Here are the pictures:

| | | I'm moving this to the Northeast section while giggling. Also, I like the fourth picture a lot. [last edit 8/26/2009 9:37 PM by SaraBellum - edited 1 times]

It would be fairly easy with the right tide and a boat, but I've never had access to one. The other side of the trestle (behind the bean factory, mmmmm) is very stable, but less interesting. There's something about seeing "support" posts under you swaying with the tide. Edit: Did you spot a dirty mexican with a pug right before the bridge? | | | lol no dirty mexicans! It's possible to get over to the middle bridge part but it would take a lot of thinking and planning and a boat and a rope and upper body strength. I don't have any of those things. The end of the bridge is so unstable! I got close to the end, but I was too scared so I walked off it! It's a nice place and there are ladders on the center part, so it would be possible to climb on top of the bridge.
