|  | | | I found a drain in Richmond thats huge, its about 4 maybe 5 foot tall and seems to go a long ways. I was alone so I didnt go far in it so if anyone wants to go next monday let me know.
Train towers and count em...5! which were all at least 80 feet tall. I climbed up one and the view was really amazing.
Last and certainly not least was an old hydro electric plant I found. Its around the James if anyone knows where it is. This plant used to power street trolleys in Richmond until fossil fuels phased it out due to the high operating cost of the plant. It was closed in 1964, and while all or most of the machinery has been removed its purely amazing to see. Once you get in there are 3 large holes that used to house the turbines that provided power. I have pics but I don't know how good they are. I had to lower a flashlight down on a rope and it wasn't a great light. You can float a canoe into the water outlets on the bottom of the plant and Im sure its amazing. I'll be posting more pictures in this thread as I explore this location more.
Enjoy the images I have so far, and if you would like to come out with me next week to see the drain or the plant your welcome, but the plant is not easy, as there is some climbing involved.
