Watertown and Syracuse area explorers!

Hey you CNY explorers!

I'm going to be between Watertown and Syracuse pretty much all day on Saturday, the 29th!

I'll be available in Watertown from about 10am to 1pm, then available in Syracuse from about 7pm to 11pm or so.

So, in that case, who'd like to show me around Watertown and Syracuse over the course of Saturday? Exploring in either place is cool, or just generally hanging out and finding cool stuff to take pictures of, regardless of whether it's UE or not.

Let me know! My fiancee's going to be at her best friend's bridal shower and bachelorette party, so I am really really hoping a couple of you can step up and save a guy from certain boredom.

Thanks!

Haha, that's too nice and proper way of putting it.

What you're supposed to do is TELL (not ask) the Syracuse people to give you some 1337 locations. Then a flame war erupts due to your demands. But, then some people will feel sorry for you getting flamed and might PM you an easy well-known local spot. That's just how UER works. You have to be aggressive when it comes with getting locations in different cities!

(lots and lots of j/k)

This reminds me... I haven't ragged on Syracuse in a while. You guys need to step up your game! Buffalo and Rochester are showing you guys up. Pretty soon us Buff/Roc people are going to take over your city's locations if you Syr people don't get busy.

I also love ripping on Syracuse...it's for their own good. A little Thruway rivalry never hurt anyone. And speaking of I-90, Boston, you need to step up your game!

Really help a dude out. I know he is not looking for handouts and will spring for a beer just to get out of lame shower games.

A mirage is not an optical illusion. It is a real phenomenon, and one can take photographs of it. The interpretation of the image, however, is up to the fantasy of the human mind.

Bump again.

It's Wednesday, boys and girls! I have only 3 short days until I suffer non-stop girliness unless one of you fine Syracusians steps up and shows me around town. My knowledge of Syracuse is limited to Onondaga Lake Park and Carousel Mall, so I'd love for a personal tour guide!

I'd help you out, as my parents live up in that area, but I work on Saturdays. Plus I can honestly say I don't know any of the good locations up there yet. (My parents haven't lived up there long.) I hope someone can meet you.

No crazy tips here, but if from the thruway you take 690 it'll first take you through some industrial areas (crucible steel isn't abandoned), then through the city with downtown on your right, and on your left some potential areas on the outskirts of the city that are kind of industrial/manufacturing-ish. US 690 gives you a good vantage point of the city as it's pretty high up.

Step up your game Syracuse! gawd...

Thanks for the offer! I know how it is to work weekends... Hope your job treats you well enough to make it worth working on Saturdays.

Maybe sometime soon!

Ahh, thanks... I haven't been in Syracuse for like 2 years now, so I'm definitely lost some familiarity with the city.

And yeah... the game. start up-stepping it.

I always wanted to check out this old rail platform: http://maps.google...p=12,19.06,,0,9.62
(Not sure if it will take you to street-view or not)

Polly not abandoned though. Possibly cool photo opportunities though.
