I dunno, I could think of a lot worse places to live. Seemed kinda nice to me. Far away from the action, but that's what a lot of people want.

Anyway I was laughing when they went to his house and it was just as opulent as this one. I don't know if it was real or not but just kind of topical and funny.

One interesting thing of note that I didn't see in this thread. When you are there, it becomes apparent that the house was meant to be part of a culdesac originally. The drive goes past the house, and winds around in to the woods where there is a turnaround. On the lane there are several electrical boxes that would have been for the other houses that were to be built there. The house was purchased by a hair dresser originally who cut hair there before loosing the house and eventually ending up in Mikes hands. Mike spent very little time there while he had the place, but he did stay there. After Mike left, it basically sat empty, aside from the Monea kids taking friends there to watch movies and swim and whatnot. Anyway, its a place with a cool history, but at this point I think its been exploited to its fullest unfortunately.

What I found odd was that there was a bunch of family junk (pictures, toys, Magic cards, etc.) in the garage. Mike wasn't in any of the pictures, either, so I assume they were from the Monea family, but why, if he never lived there?

Good question. Perhaps the info I have isn't correct. The entire place leaves a lot of unanswered questions. I did find a note from a lady that was written to Mike regarding him visiting her church/preschool in the laundry room, but aside from that I didn't really look at much personal stuff. I know the stuff you're talking about in the garage, but I didn't really have a chance to go through it. The monea kids can be tracked down on the net if you care to compare pictures... basically picture your typical boardman/youngstown area Italian looking children with excess money and you have it. There was a myspace page for some home grown rap group/record label that Monea's son linked up with, and they had a section talking about xxxx records (can't remember the name) new headquarters, and it was pictures of the tyson home with the pool still blue and fountains working. I don't know when that would have been taken though. I know it was on ebay, I think in 2003 or 2005 and it was rumored to be pretty well cleaned up at that point.
Anyway, lots of unanswered but interesting questions. I'll bet if thats the house you take your dates to in highschool, you get laid alot more than I did.

I keep bringing this back from the dead, but yeah, that's me. Thanks for the compliments. I've slacked on that site for soooo long now. Right before I left Ohio to move south I was living in Columbiana which is about 30 minutes up route 11 from Liverpool. We'd head down to liverpool, cross the river, and go to the track every once in a while to lose some hard earned money.

Except for the fact that it was Iron Mike's place, there are a ton of places in Cleveland that are just waiting to be explored. I should host a Cleveland meet-up, and everyone can camp out at my place and swim in my pool!
