| | | One of Madison, Wisconsin's few industrial abandonments, but it's deliciously dilapidated. It's behind a pretty active botanical garden, but the back of the building is pretty secluded and I've managed to get in during the day a number of times. Apparently the plan is to renovate the place and turn it into an art incubator, which I suppose would be much better than another bunch of condos, but it's so derelict that they would have to change it drastically, if not demolish it completely. And that would be a shame, because this is one of my favorite spots in the city.

| | | It will be interesting to see how the city handles the renovation of this place. The money was approved, but I have heard nothing of when this is going to begin. Should be interesting. The site is being used as a composting facility for Olbrich gardens, and is quite active during the daytime weekdays. You can buy mulch and compost right there behind the gardens. I like the shot you took of the yellow Garver sign - classic and so sad someone ruined it with spray paint. I notice construction dumpsters in the shots you took. I have not visited this site since I shot exteriors a few months back, and it looks as if the place is being cleared out. Looks like I had best get inside soon!
