| | Consumers glass trip! < on 7/20/2009 1:22 AM >
| | | After a long absence due to work and irl stuff im back with this new trip to the old Consumers Glass factory with my bud strangeplaces. Serious ninja skills needed to get in. Requires climbing trees to get over fences and to get to roof tops, not to mention all the people that walk back and forth on the old rail way tracks directly behind you =-p. Anyway we got in, found the first room we got into completely plastered with old "Toronto Sun Sunshine Girls" pictures..... strange amiright? Planning to go back next Saturday and explore outside and climb the smoke stacks.
And yes we found a vat with a baby raccoon nest in it =-p

| | | I certainly can't say I had to employ anything near "ninja skills" the last time I went to CG. You either had horrible luck or didn't look around the place too much before entering.

| | | Couldn't, there where people all over the place not to mention a security car right outside. Had to go through the back where the tracks where to get in. [last edit 7/20/2009 1:33 AM by randomUser2014 - edited 1 times]

We didn't look around too much. There was a working cam on the trailer side. Really hope to find better entrance next time. Place is awesome, we didn't explore all of it b/c of other plans.

Is there anything wrong with going out of your way to do the most difficult/dangerous thing possible when not at all necessary? (for those playing along at home I'm being sarcastic). PS: Smooth on giving away one of the access points! And +1 points for accurately naming the thread. [last edit 7/20/2009 2:27 AM by Air - edited 2 times]

| | | IT feels damn good doing some things the hard way! I am starting to like fences=). And yeah, it was so interesting to use a skinny tree to get on a roof.

| | | That place has honestly the most interesting roof that I've ever seen. The entire place is reminiscent of some ridiculous post-nuclear war death facility. Nice photos! Looks like a lot of fun

| | | My grandfather and father both worked there... my grandfather was an engineer who did the bottle designs for 24 years. We still have glasses that the company gave to him upon retirement when it was under the name Domglas.
