Shell station -- Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin

Only stayed for about 10 minutes, the mosquitoes were horrible. Not sure how long its been dead. The quick stop and car wash are torn down, only their foundations, the pumps, and the canopy remain. It's on Sheridan Road, probably a 30 second drive from the IL/WI border.

Nice shots, and nice place. I like the overgrowth, has an apocalypse feel to it.

Thanks! It wasnt nearly as bad last year. About half of the former carwash area is now covered in plants. The old quick stop I found out through Live Maps was only recently torn down.

Thanks! I was at a cruise night/car show just south of the Shell and the first time I came up there I missed the turn for the car show and that's how I found this place.

I know this post is about a gas station but it looks like it is quickly turning into a Fiero post. Yeah that car is cool what year is it and would you recommend buying one? I have thought about getting one in the past. I never thought about exploring a gas station but there are 2 in walking distance from my house I mite go take a better look at it now.
