|  | | | The sun was shining, it was hella hot out and we took off in search of some old homes that we'd not been to together since winter. This time it was the grass that was up to our knees instead of snow and there were blackflies all around.
"When it's 40 degrees below and snowing out, I'll be looking back at these photos and remembering what it was like to be out in the sun", I said to MSG because we were both sweating.
These were done with a point and shoot camera, no SLR so bear that in mind when you view them. I decided to play around with some techniques just to spice things differently.

@MSG: You know #3 looks like a Batman ornament on the hood. 
@Fedge: The house appears to have been vacated around 1981 (28 years ago) and the adjacent shack which looks like someone once lived there, contained rent receipts from the 1970's. She was an old one fo-sho. Ironically some abandoned homes nearby (within a 3 minute drive) are smashed to shit and spraypainted with 'local kiddy gang' slogans. This house is hidden by nature which has probably saved her thus far.
Being a Northerner means missing out on a lot of opportunity. We can't really play the "How Well Do You Know Ont. Location's?" game, can't visit the newest finds within a day and often can't make it down before demolition deadlines.
But we try our best
